Quick’s appointment is part of Frontier’s definitive agreement
with AT&T, Inc., announced December 17, 2013, to acquire
AT&T's wireline business and statewide fiber network that
provides services to residential, commercial and wholesale
customers in Connecticut. Frontier will also acquire AT&T's
U-verse video and satellite TV customers in Connecticut. Upon
approval of the transaction by the Connecticut Public Utility
Regulatory Authority and the Federal Communications Commission,
Connecticut will join New York and Pennsylvania as part of the
company’s new East Region, headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut.
At the close of the transaction with AT&T, Connecticut will be
the largest of Frontier’s 28 operating states.
Most recently Quick was Senior Vice President and General
Manager of Frontier’s Pennsylvania operations. “Since joining
Frontier in May 2012, Paul has developed strategies that are
customer-focused and results-oriented,” said Dan McCarthy,
President and Chief Operating Officer of Frontier. “I am very
pleased that Connecticut, Frontier’s home state since 1946, will
benefit from the experience of a proven leader who has demonstrated
a great ability to manage operations, engage employees and enhance
customer, business and community relationships. His track record at
Frontier, along with his executive experience, is outstanding. I am
confident Connecticut customers will receive unparalleled levels of
service under Paul’s guidance.”
Quick noted, “I am delighted to be part of the Frontier family
in Connecticut. I am a strong believer in our high-touch local
engagement model and our commitment to being active in the
communities we serve. Our company has solid experience in acquiring
and migrating large-scale operations onto our networks and systems,
adapting them to our sales model, and extending our brand into new
communities.” He added, “We are starting off with great people from
AT&T Connecticut and our corporate headquarters in Stamford.
Those joining us from AT&T should take great pride in a
Connecticut business that is substantial, well-defined and well
maintained. Everything points to our delivering an excellent
customer experience and shareholder value."
Prior to Frontier, Quick served as President of CSS Industries’
Paper Magic Group where he was responsible for overall business
strategy, product development, sales and marketing and Profit &
Loss for Paper Magic’s social expression products. Quick was Vice
President and General Manager for the Walgreens Team for Hallmark
Cards, leading the group that supported Hallmark's third-largest
customer. From 2000-2006, he was President of the Image Arts
division of Hallmark and earlier, General Manager of its Specialty
Products division. He served as General Manager in the Emerging
Brands and Channels Division, Internal Audit Director in the
Corporate Finance Division, and Marketing Manager for Season
Greeting Cards.
Quick received an MBA from Pepperdine University, a BS in
Business Administration from Drake University, and executive
education in Minority Board Director Development and Consumer
Marketing Strategy at Northwestern University. He has been an
active member of the community in Pennsylvania and intends to be
very active in Connecticut as the company expands its presence
throughout the state. Quick is currently a board member of the
United Way of Wyoming Valley, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of
Commerce, and the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. He served
on the board of the Alliance for Children and Families and was a
