InterCore's ADS(TM) iPhone App Deployed to First Group of
Commercial Users
Deployment of 5,000 Could Grow to 80,000 Users
MAHWAH, NJ--(Marketwired - May 15, 2014) - InterCore, Inc.
(OTCQB: ICOR) announced that it has completed an initial deployment
of its ADS™ System as an Apple iPhone app to the first group of
commercial users in the Canadian trucking industry. This
deployment, involving approximately 5,000 users, is a final
demonstration step before commencing full commercial
implementation, which could begin in early June with a potential
ramp-up to 80,000 or more users by year-end.
As previously disclosed, the ADS™ System utilizes biometric
monitoring of 524 points on the head of the operator of a vehicle
to detect and signal the operator's impending loss of alertness
sufficiently in advance -- generally 45 minutes to two hours before
the onset of sleep -- to enable appropriate action to be taken,
well before the operator becomes a hazard to himself and others. In
applications such as truck, bus, or train operations, the ADS™
System would provide visual and audible alerts of the operator's
impending loss of alertness to both the operator and the dispatch
control center.
"The past several months have been spent strengthening the
security of ADS™ System after simulations jointly performed by
Apple and our technical staff suggested that the original
encryption module might become a performance limitation when more
than one million ADS™ System apps were running simultaneously.
Rather than release the product with the knowledge that a future
release would be required shortly, we decided to upgrade the
encryption module immediately. While this resulted in a delay in
the deployment date, we felt strongly that it was the correct
approach for our customers and our product, as is currently being
demonstrated in the deployment to 5,000 commercial users," said
James F. Groelinger, Chief Executive Officer of InterCore. Mr.
Groelinger continued: "In addition to the commercial application,
we plan to release the consumer version of the iPhone ADS™ System
app in the fall, while simultaneously developing an Android version
for commercial and consumer customers. We are anxious to get this
valuable product into the market, where we are confident that it
will reduce accidents with a commensurate reduction in property
loss, personal injuries, and loss of life."
