Irvine, CA, September 26, 2013 – (Accesswire) – Pacific Clean
Water Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: PCWT) through its subsidiary
Western Water Consultants Inc. (WWC) is working on eliminating the
need for holding ponds at the Garlic Company.
PCWT has worked with The Garlic Company on water conservation
and wastewater handling projects over the past four years.
WWC began by targeting the poor quality of makeup water by applying
CWT-504 in the re-circulated water in the cooling tower. WWC
believes water savings using CWT-504 (blend of polymeric
dispersants and corrosion inhibitors) have resulted in 30% lower
water consumption and have maintained clean heat exchange surfaces
lowering energy costs. In addition, Western Water Consultants
applied WW-1601 and WW-1100 to the wastewater pond, helping remove
contaminants from the waste stream. This removal process
allows the land application of the cleaner water and promotes
quicker settling of the water and lower usage rates. By applying
these programs, we believe that the Garlic Co. has had a
significant drop in their energy and water use.
Now by the request of Garlic Co. management, WWC is working
towards improving the handling of wastewater by greater reduction
of BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), TSS (Total Suspended Solids) and
making their process more continuous. Ultimately the goal
would be to reduce or remove the wastewater pond altogether and
improve water settling in land applications.
“This has been an honor and privilege to be able to work with
one of the largest and esteemed farming networks in the San Joaquin
Valley. We believe that their commitment and focus to water
conservation will dramatically improve their results and quality,”
said Craig McMillan.
