Loonie Climbs Vs Most Majors Ahead Of Canada CPI, Retail Sales

(RTTNews) - Statistics Canada releases Canada consumer price inflation for September and retail sales of August at 8:30 am ET Friday. Inflation is expected to rise 0.2 percent on month, reversing a 0.2 percent fall in August.

Ahead of these reports, the loonie traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the loonie held steady against the yen, it advanced against the rest of major counterparts.

The loonie was worth 78.04 against the yen, 1.4401 against the euro, 1.0092 against the aussie and 1.3233 against the greenback as of 8:25 am ET.
