Bell Canada and March Networks today announced an agreement to co-develop,
market, and sell advanced digital video surveillance applications in the
Canadian market. Working together, Bell Canada and March Networks will provide
Canadian small, medium and large enterprises with a highly effective and
comprehensive internet-based surveillance solution that leverages the

Internet-based video surveillance solutions are designed specifically for
organizations that demand secure, reliable and sophisticated surveillance
solutions. Customers such as retailers, financial institutions, and
transportation authorities need to effectively capture critical video for
security and business management purposes. The Bell Canada and March Networks
surveillance solution offers a cost effective, innovative solution that enhances
security, lowers total cost of IT ownership and increases operational efficiency
throughout the enterprise.

"Internet-based digital video and surveillance technology now offers companies
the opportunity to customize their surveillance solution to directly meet their
unique and challenging security demands in real-time," said Karen Sheriff,
President, Small and Medium Business, Bell Canada "As the Canadian Virtual Chief
Information Officer, Bell now offers business customers of all sizes a digital
video surveillance solution that integrates IT and telecom in a simple,
affordable and highly reliable manner that is setting a new standard for
business surveillance in Canada."

Examples of how an advanced video surveillance solution can be used include:

* For retailers: improving loss prevention functions; enhancing security
  for customers and employees; effectively managing store traffic; linking
  point-of-sale transactions with video for improved business efficiencies.
* For financial institutions: battling theft and fraud at bank branches,
  automated teller machines, cash counting stations, and corporate offices;
  linking specific transaction data with video so theft and fraud cases can be
  dealt with in an enhanced, timely, and cost-effective manner.
* For transportation authorities: combating terrorism and vandalism;
  protecting employees and public transit riders; mitigating litigation risks;
  enhancing public transit offerings to better meet customer needs.

Under terms of the agreement Bell and March Networks will co-develop custom
applications for joint customers at the recently opened Bell Advanced Solutions
Innovation Centre. The Bell Advanced Solutions Innovation Centre is a joint
venture between Bell Canada, and the Wesley Clover group of companies, largest
