                            GRANT OF STOCK OPTIONS

Nelson Resources Limited (AIM: NLG and NLGa; TSX: NLG) (the "Company") today 
announced that it has granted a total of 11,852,000 stock options to its 
directors, officers and employees. The options are for the Company's common 
shares with a par value of USD$0.01, and were granted on 18 August 2004 at an 
exercise price of CAD$1.45.

The options that were granted to the Company's directors are as follows:
