Axa France--the French division of Axa SA (AXA)--saw its 2009 revenue rise 11% to EUR24.5 billion, a spokeswoman said Wednesday, confirming comments made Tuesday by Axa France Chief Executive Francois Pierson.

Axa France's life insurance revenue rose 14.5% in 2009 and property and casualty revenue rose 1.6%, the spokeswoman said.

In 2008, Axa's total group revenue totaled EUR91.2 billion.
