The Detroit Public Safety Foundation hosts this signature event to recognize first responders and civilians for their selfless service to the citizens of Detroit.

The Home Depot received this year's Public Safety Award, while Tonya Allen, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Skillman Foundation, was recognized as City Change Maker – a recognition given to someone who embodies the ideals of Detroit and is committed to making the city a better place for all residents.

Spartan Motors' suppliers Accuride, DANA, and Marion Body also sponsored the event.
