It could be as if you sold your shares at the rate the company was acquired or it could possibly be converted to the shares to the company who acquired. I have never experienced any BO.

I truly believe the "loan" was a way to show the MHRA that NWBO is still a going-concern and the MHRA is now comfortable checking off on the box relating to financial well being.
