Today was one of the biggest sell offs. The volume already exceeds the average daily volume. Yesterday the short sale volume was up. Here's something of interest and explains why a company has a pretty good idea of TAM and SAM of products they are developing. Designing and producing a complex semiconductor chip, particularly at advanced nodes like 5nm or below, can cost hundreds of millions of dollars, with the cost of design alone often exceeding $500 million due to the intricate design process, expensive software tools, and high research and development needs involved; These numbers were based on 5 & 10 nm lines. 2 and 3nm lines cost more. Jensen likes to keep SAM/TAM of a product along with timing close to his chest.

NVDA'S investment in SOUNDHOUND was a smart investment....

The automotive division of Nvidia is expanding with this new deal with Aurora.

Right now, it's not a big part of NVDA. But I've been a big enthusiast about this NVDA division. Self-driving cars and trucks will become commonplace in a relatively short timeframe and that NVDA division will be a huge moneymaker.

There's MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of cars in the world. It's a good bet that in 15 to 20 years, a giant percentage of them will be autonomous.

As far as the Mag 7 stocks retreating - there are several articles about them. Tesla being investigated for the "Actually Smart Summon" feature software in its cars that might have led to crashes , NVDA in the news about a deal with Aurora, META scrapping its fact checking program for a community-based system similar to "X".

And apparently, US job openings have increased, while hiring has fallen - according to the US Labor department's Bureau of Labor Statistics report.

So, plenty to drive this market down today.

OK doc, Nvidia always talks about all these new products and how wonderful they are; I will guarantee you of the following. Before any CEO comes out with any product, they know what the TAM and SAM is for that product. Without the numbers/timing, it's huff and puff. When Jensen had his Q conference, what did the stock do the very next day? The same thing it did after his CES presentation.

I also made another comment about Nvidia not being able to close above 140 10 trading days in a row. So far it looks like we will have 3 days (since Friday) in a row.

The majority of the Mag 7 stocks are diving today, as is AVGO.

The tech market dive is driving this down ....it's not Jensen's speech nor any of the NVDA fundamentals!

But yes...let's wait to see WHY the market is diving and how it eventually turns out.

By the way? At around 10:50 PM last night, you posted that "The AH SP of the stock since his presentation has been dropping." How did you determine that? I thought that the after-hours trading stopped at 8PM....and premarket trading starts at 4AM, correct? Was it the overseas market you were referring to? At the time of your post, there wasn't any trading of NVDA going on in the US markets, was there? The CES keynote speech by Jensen didn't even start until 9:30 Eastern time, correct?

At any rate, the ACTUAL premarket trading of NVDA has resulted in exactly the opposite of your prediction. I believe I see it rising. Not to say that at some point, it MIGHT go down. As I've said before - anything is possible.

I heard lots of timing relavant to the consumer products (it is CS after all). He mentioned TAM for a number of the new markets they are entering, but that is just it these are new markets - who can put a TAM on them when the capability to address them is only just being delivered.

What I heard was:

The hardware is here now and in full production (44 factories, 200+ SKUs etc etc - lots of numbers)
Adding AI to graphics capabilities has made some really crazy video capabilities - only compute one pixel and 8 others generated by AI
For the Business world the AI software has evolved and is scalable. He talked through muti-dimension scaling but key to me was the micro capability and the NIM models. You can put AI off the internet into devices and have agents work for you - exactly what Soundhound is delivering already now w know it is using Nvidia’s own architecture.

There was no need to talk about next generation hardware, I can see their software business exploding after this, and their consulting services - well how many people really understand how to build solutions around that architecture?

I expect the market will show that Nvidia is starting another nice steady rise may be accelerated when the final Q4 numbers are released

What's sad is the continuous insults you and Jetmek throw around when you can't come up with a logical explanation. Again Jensen gave one of his typical conferences with a lot of items. But as usual nothing relating to TAM/SAM or timing. I find it very interesting when ,lately, Jensen speaks and the stock drops. In comparison Broadcom gives the Q and numbers to go along with their forward looking statement and the stock performs/ Let's see if the stock holds above 140 over the next 8 tradings days.

Just look at his posting history. This is what he does. He picks a company and posts negative things about it for months upon months. Then all of a sudden, he stops posting about it and doesn’t post for months - or even years.

Well, we found out that Blackwell is in full production. This goes against many of your previous posts. If the market is swayed by either a good or mediocre keynote speech at CES…….then the market is fickle. He explained in laymen’s terms their approach to many future drivers that will keep NVDA soaring.

We are close to all time closing highs. Hard to find a lot of negatives but that certainly doesn’t inhibit your trying.
