KUQI Licensee, LLC, an affiliate of National Communications, Inc. (“National”), announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the FCC station license, network affiliation and all programming contracts of KUQI-TV Fox Channel 38 (“KUQI”) from High Maintenance Broadcasting, LLC. Contingent upon receipt of FCC approval and completion of the acquisition, which is expected to take place in the second half of 2012, KUQI Licensee will enter into sales, programming and other shared service agreements with London Broadcasting Company (“LBC”), a Dallas-based broadcasting company. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

National presently owns and operates KVHP-TV, the Fox television affiliate in Lake Charles, Louisiana. National’s owner, Lester Langley, is a long-standing member of the Fox Board of Governors, and currently the Board’s treasurer.
