AA- by S&P and Fitch (both stable), has mandated BARCLAYS CAPITAL as sole
bookrunner for an issue of Euro-denominated cumulative Step-up Perpetual Capital
Notes. The deal is expected to be rated A-/A by S&P and Fitch, and will be
launched following an investor roadshow, subject to market conditions. FSA/ICMA
stabilisation.
