Thyssenkrupp AG (TKA.XE) said Monday that it signed a memorandum
of understanding with China's CRRC Corp. Ltd. (1766.HK) to
cooperate on research in the field of mobility and magnetic
technology, as well as environmental protection and renewable
energy.
"The agreement lays a foundation for the companies to extend
project cooperation, establish collaborative R&D institutions
and jointly develop domestic and overseas markets," the German
steel conglomerate said.
Under the agreement, Thyssenkrupp and Chinese rail-equipment
supplier and industrial group CRRC plan to focus on data and
model-based maintenance strategies for plants and trains, as well
as power and energy conversion, and storage and control
