Item 5.02 Departure of Directors.

On February 19, 2009 (the "Effective Date"), the board of directors of Electronic Sensor Technology, Inc. (the "Registrant") accepted the resignation of director Lewis Larson effective as of the Effective Date. On February 23, 2009, the board of directors of the Registrant resolved to decrease the size of the board of directors from six (6) directors to five (5) directors; and therefore, no director will be appointed to replace Mr. Larson on the board of directors of the Registrant.
