State below in reasonable detail why Forms 10-K, 20-F, 11-K, 10-Q, 10-D, N-CEN, N-CSR, or the transition report or portion thereof, could not be filed within the prescribed time period.

New Frontier Health Corporation (the “Company”) was unable, without unreasonable effort or expense, to file its Annual Report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2020 (the “Annual Report”) by April 30, 2021, the filing date applicable to foreign private issuers, due to a delay experienced by the Company in completing its financial statements and other related disclosures in the Annual Report in light of the April 12, 2021 statement (the “SEC Statement”) released by the Staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the accounting and reporting considerations for warrants issued by special purpose acquisition companies (“SPACs”) and former SPACs, like the Company. Specifically, the Company needs more time to incorporate the revised accounting treatment required by the SEC Statement for its warrants in its financial statements.

The Company anticipates that it will file the Annual Report no later than the fifteenth calendar day following the prescribed filing date.
