Harris Corporation Awarded $6 Million Contract By the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence for Falcon(R) II Radios PARIS (Eurosatory booth C37), June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading supplier of secure, tactical radios for worldwide defense forces, today announced that it has been awarded a $6 million contract for Falcon II radios by the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence. Harris will provide its Falcon II high frequency (HF) radios in manpack and base station configurations to provide reliable, long-range communications with enhanced secure voice and data performance. The Norwegian Armed Forces also will utilize the company's Wireless Message Terminal software package that integrates robust data transmission techniques with commercial-off-the- shelf (COTS) software. The radio's integrated network controller provides a seamless IP interface for fast and reliable information transfer across the tactical communications network.
