MELBOURNE, Fla., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris
Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and
information technology company, announced today that Scott T.
Mikuen, 48, will become vice president and general counsel
effective October 15, 2010. He
will succeed Gene Cavallucci, 63,
who is retiring in December after 20 years with the company.
Mikuen joined Harris in 1996 and currently holds the position of
vice president- associate general counsel, with responsibility for
corporate governance, SEC compliance, finance, and mergers and
acquisition transactions. He also serves as corporate
secretary and will continue in that role.
Mikuen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science
from Colgate University and a law
degree from Harvard Law School.
Prior to joining Harris, he served as a partner in a Long
Island, New York, law firm.

proven track record dealing in the complex world of compliance,

The company also announced the promotion of Anthony Deglomine, 50, to vice president and
deputy general counsel. Deglomine joined Harris in 2002 and
is responsible for litigation, product liability, real estate, and
environmental, health and safety matters.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the
University of Florida and a law degree
from Stetson University School of Law.
Prior to joining Harris, he served as a partner in an
Orlando, Florida, law firm.
