Colgate-Palmolive India Ltd. (500830.BY) said Tuesday workers at a toothpowder factory at Aurangabad in the western Indian state of Maharashtra have gone on strike since Saturday.

The strike won't impact the company's toothpowder business as it has enough stocks and has made an alternate production arrangement to service the market, the consumer goods company said in a note to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The workers struck work demanding re-employment of two laborers who were sacked, the Indian unit of U.S.-based Colgate-Palmolive Co. (CL) said.
