The process of establishing rates is carried out by the Texas Railroad Commission. Atmos Energy adheres strictly to that process. It�s up to the commission through the hearings, and its review of the testimony, to decide these cases and come out with an order. The hearings will begin next Tuesday in Austin. As part of the formal hearing process Atmos will provide testimony and witnesses before the Commission. Operations costs, equipment and infrastructure purchases, the move to a new corporate headquarters, and other costs of doing business will all be spelled out in the hearing before the Commission. Any expenditure in question will be examined by the Commission during the hearing and the results will be made public.
