O2Micro Receives Patent Grant for DC/DC Controller Architecture

was granted 17 claims under United States patent number 6,844,710
for its Direct Current-to-Direct Current (DC/DC) Controller
architecture. The patented architecture steps down high battery
voltage levels to low output voltage levels without direct
measurement. It was specially developed to design power supplies
for the next generation microprocessors, their peripherals and
chipsets, suitable for notebook PC systems and IMVP (Intel(R)
Mobile Voltage Positioning) CPU peripheral applications. "This
