IQuest to Enhance Disaster Recovery Capabilities Using Hosted

Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IQuest Internet, LLC, will
enhance its disaster recovery capabilities for organizations next

services will add functionality such as automatic call
distribution, interactive voice response, automated attendant,
presence management, call recording and reporting, to IQuest's
existing server co- location capabilities. Interactive
Intelligence's hosted communications services work by redirecting
calls from the customer's telco provider to servers at Interactive
Intelligence's data center in Indianapolis. Incoming calls are then
automatically routed back to the appropriate customer contacts, who
can be located anywhere. As part of the new offering, IQuest will
also provide physical space at its Indianapolis headquarters where
customers will have the option of setting up temporary work areas
in the event of a disaster. IQuest designed its new disaster
recovery solution to provide organizations nationwide with
everything they need to cost-effectively incorporate a
communications backup, recovery and continuity plan so employees
can work with minimal interruption in the event of a phone system
outage. The solution can also be used to better handle spikes in
call volume, or to enable employees to work from home during
periods of severe weather, or for other reasons. "Our objective was
to provide a 'one-stop-shop' for an organization's complete
disaster recovery needs," said IQuest president, Jack Carr. "Our
more than 10 years of experience providing Internet services and
data recovery solutions, combined with Interactive Intelligence's
sophisticated interaction management applications, will give
organizations the peace of mind they require when disaster hits."
"Many organizations think only of data backup when they think of
disaster recovery, but IQuest now also offers the vital means by
which these organizations can continue generating revenue through
uninterrupted communications with associates, partners and
customers," said Dr. Donald E. Brown, president and chief executive
officer of Interactive Intelligence. The IQuest solution allows for
a range of options based on customers' anticipated call volume and
functionality requirements, including the needs of both contact
center agents and business users. Fees, which will be billed
monthly, include an initial set-up charge, application development
charges, and per-minute toll charges. "We designed our hosted
communications services so companies like IQuest could offer a
truly tailored disaster recovery solution," said Debbie Thornburg,
Interactive Intelligence's hosted communications services practice
leader. "Whether an organization requires only basic voice
applications in the event of a disaster, or a complete line of
sophisticated services for both emergency and non-emergency
situations, IQuest will be able to deliver quickly, reliably and
cost-effectively." IQuest's disaster recovery solution will be
available to organizations throughout North America. The solution
will be marketed to IQuest's existing customer base and qualified
prospects located primarily in the Midwest. About IQuest Internet,
