(NASDAQ:CTCI) announces the deployment of fiber-optic facilities that will be made available to more than 11,000 homes in the city of Concord. This initiative is part of the company's plan to further expand its leadership position in delivering superior bandwidth to customers for the widest possible range of services. The new fiber-optic facilities have been under construction since August 2006 and include more than 148 miles of cable. To date, CTC's fiber deployment has passed 9,000 homes, and will be expanded to pass more than 11,000 homes by the end of February. "CTC is already the area leader in broadband service speeds with our 10 Mbps e-Sonic Xtreme DSL product," said Matt Dowd, senior vice president of business operations.
