Cabot Microelectronics Appoints Dr. Clifford L. Spiro as Vice
President, Research and Development AURORA, Ill., Dec. 1
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cabot Microelectronics Corp. , the
leading supplier of chemical mechanical planarization (CMP)
slurries to the semiconductor industry, announced today the
appointment of Clifford L. Spiro to the position of Vice President,
Research and Development. Dr. Spiro reports directly to William P.
Noglows, Cabot Microelectronics' Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer. Dr. Spiro joins Cabot Microelectronics after serving as
Vice President of Research and Development, Ondeo-Nalco, a
multi-billion dollar technology and industrial process company.
Prior to his position at Ondeo-Nalco, Dr. Spiro held senior
technology and R&D management positions at the General Electric
Company. Spiro's almost 25 years of experience as a technology
executive and scientist encompasses a variety of industries and
applications, and includes responsibilities such as business
development initiatives and the application of "six sigma"
processes to R&D activities and organizations. "Cliff Spiro
