Hungarian Telephone and Cable Corp. (AMEX:HTC) today announced the results of its annual stockholders meeting held today in New York. The Hungarian Telephone stockholders elected the 7 incumbent nominees for election to the Hungarian Telephone Board of Directors for the 2006 to 2007 board term. The Hungarian Telephone stockholders also ratified the appointment of KPMG Hungaria as Hungarian Telephone's independent auditors for 2006. At Hungarian Telephone's Board of Directors meeting following the stockholders meeting, the Board of Directors reelected Kim Frimer as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and elected Christian Eyde Moeller as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors.
