Germany's Ceconomy AG (CEC.XE) said Tuesday that has it
appointed Bernhard Duettmann to its management board on an interim
basis, assuming the duties of outgoing chief financial officer Mark
Frese.
Ceconomy said Mr. Duettmann's appointment is effective Jan. 1,
following Mr. Frese's previous request to leave the company at the
end of the year. Ceconomy said the search for a permanent chief
financial officer is continuing.
Meanwhile, the German company said its search for a new chief
executive is going to plan following Pieter Haas's decision to part
ways with the company in October.
Shares in Ceconomy have fallen sharply this year, with the
decline accelerating after two profit warnings in quick succession
during September and October.
