Telefonica to Appoint New Board Member

Spain's Telefonica SA (TEF.MC) said late Tuesday that it will
propose the appointment of Maria Luisa Garcia Blanco as an
independent director on its board of directors.
Mrs. Garcia will replace Eva Castillo Sanz, who is leaving after
10 years on the board.
