DALLAS, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In the aftermath
of Hurricane Irma, Comerica Incorporated (NYSE: CMA) announced
today it is reopening four of its Florida locations. Comerica
banking centers in Boca Raton
(1675 N. Military Trail), Fort
Lauderdale, Palm Beach
Gardens and Wellington will
resume business at 10 a.m. ET on
Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017.
The decision to reopen the four banking centers comes after a
three-day precautionary closing of all Comerica locations in
Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Naples, Palm Beach
Gardens, Riviera Beach and
Wellington.
"We accessed the impact of the storm and found that four banking
centers sustained minimal damage," said Patty Maczko, president of Comerica's
Florida Market. "We are still
accessing the safety and security of our other locations and will
decide on their status at a later date. The well-being of our
colleagues, customers and Florida citizens is still paramount in
this post-storm period."
As the accessibility of banking centers remains a challenge in
Florida, Comerica will continue to
waive ATM fees for its customers who might need to use other ATMs
until Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.
Comerica customers needing assistance can also call the Comerica
Contact Center or send an email through online banking.
