Company to Continue Support of Warfighter Communications Systems

NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT) and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, announced today that it was awarded two task orders aggregating $6 million under the Total Engineering and Information Systems (TEIS) III contract for IT services in support of the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Fort Huachuca Engineering Directorate (FHED) and Fort Detrick Engineering Directorate (FDED). These task orders represent both new and follow-on work for NCI. The Fort Huachuca task order spans a base period of 13 and a half months. The Fort Detrick task order consists of a 12-month base period.

For the FHED, NCI will provide information systems engineering, furnishing, installation, testing, securing, commissioning and training for the new XVIIIth Airborne Corps Mission Command Facility C4I/IT Visual Information Systems at Fort Bragg.

NCI will continue to provide the FDED with flexible quality control (QC) for a wide variety of IT and auxiliary support systems at U.S. Army locations worldwide. These include copper and fiber optic cable infrastructure, manhole and duct systems, and hardware for data and voice networks for core backbone networks. QC support also will include user building premise distribution systems, Local Area Network (LAN) switches, Wireless LAN devices, Synchronous Optical Networks, Voice systems and Integrated Services Digital Networks.

“Providing unparalleled communications systems for today’s warfighter is at the heart of the work we perform for USAISEC,” said Brian J. Clark, NCI’s president. “Our support of mission-critical applications such as those in place at the XVIIIth Airborne Corps and our work with next generation VTC architectures for several DoD agencies provide us a keen insight into the needs of the Mission Command Facility in implementing their C4I/IT systems. Our work supporting Fort Detrick, which now spans nearly a decade, will continue to ensure successful performance for all U.S. Army communication equipment and infrastructure installations worldwide.”

The TEIS III contract is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract awarded in March 2011.
