VISTA, Calif., April 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building
Products, Inc., (PINK: ECOB) announced today that the Building
Industry's Spring Run combined with the Sandy Rebuild are both now
well underway in the northeastern equating to increased demand for
the Company's Eco Red
ShieldTM Advanced Framing Lumber. As a
result of this rebuild and seasonal uptick, ECOB's Fair Lawn, NJ production facility began a
second shift today enabling the Company to keep up with inbound
houses packs and build deeper inventories of finished goods
supported by the Sherwood Lumber Company partnership.
In the Pacific Northwest, multiple trucks loaded with lumber
coating equipment, drying tunnels and chemical are now on the road
bound for the Company's newest production facility situated in the
Port of Tacoma (WA). After months of focused planning and retooling
production operations to support ECOB's new business model of
coating service only, the Company is well prepared to get more
machines up and running to produce higher volumes of finished
goods, and let the lumber companies do what they do best – getting
our products to the job site. This new business model allows the
Company to completely focus its technical and quality control
resources without having to also be a 'buyer of lumber'.
The Company's spring issue of The Shield couldn't come
out at a better time, as this release gives you a good snapshot of
the movement that is now well under way for Advanced Framing
Lumber. Please visit this link to view the publication:

Eco's marketing and Media efforts have remained a key component
for creating demand and raising awareness for the product, and now
we are seeing the effects of this in this spring run in the NE. The
demand is not coming from the supply chain, rather its Eco finding
Builders and Architects that want to build with innovative and more
resilient products. We believe our story to be a no-brainer when
presented alongside Industry facts. It does not take a rocket
scientist to understand that lumber stored outside all winter and
exposed to the elements will be in excess of 19% moisture content,
and to dry it out would take more time than any builder has
allocated during construction. The big question is "Why was the
building code adopted given the current conditions of today's wet
framing lumber in widespread use, and Eco has showed up with the
only solution that has real testing and code support?"
In other recent ECOB news, you've heard about Speonk Lumber and
how the entire sales force has recently attained Eco Defensive
Partner certification status. This Thursday, they met Eco's Founder
Steve Conboy in person as he talks
to over 75 Architects and a gang of Builders at their annual Spring
Building Show in South Hampton.
Steve Conboy, President &
Chief Executive Officer of Eco Building Products, Inc. commented
that "I've recently been asked why I spoke last week at the United
Nations Info Poverty Conference with respect to a forward look at
supporting emerging markets. My job is to teach them, and us, how
to build in a safer and more sustainable fashion than with
sun-dried block or wet lumber. While at the event, I was
accompanied by the SVP of Sherwood Lumber, a foreign Ambassador
approached me and asked me to come and teach his country how to
build with lumber instead of block because they plan to build 30
million homes in the next 5 years. The SVP of Sherwood communicated
to me on Monday that I was the best speaker at the event. My job
now is to teach, not to be the best speaker. My focus is on raising
the bar in the Construction Industry when it comes to protecting
wood fiber strength and the people that get to live in our wood
framed buildings."
