Orbitz.com Rated #1 Online Travel Provider in ACSI Customer Satisfaction Survey

Orbitz.com today announced that it ranked the highest in customer
satisfaction among all online travel websites in the 2014 American
Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Travel Report. The ACSI is a
national economic indicator of customer evaluations of the quality
of products and services available to consumers in the United
States.
In the 2014 report, Orbitz.com scored a 77 on a scale of 100 –
up 1 point from 2013. Orbitz outpaced competitors Expedia,
Priceline and Travelocity and is the only online travel company
whose score increased in the category this year.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index surveys 70,000
customers about products and services leading to benchmarks of
customer satisfaction annually. The survey looks at more than 230
companies, 43 industries, 10 economic sectors and over 100
services, programs and websites of federal government agencies.
Specifically in travel, the 2014 ACSI Travel Report provides
customer satisfaction results for major players in travel-related
industries, including airlines, hotels and online booking sites. In
addition to measuring overall customer satisfaction, its drivers
and outcomes, the ACSI Travel Report examines the total arc of the
customer experience for each industry, capturing customer opinions
about key elements such as airline baggage handling, hotel
amenities and Internet travel. The report is based on nearly
7,500 interviews with customers about their recent air travel,
hotel stay or online booking experiences.
