The MRPS for the FBI includes a patented, ducted WindTamer wind
turbine, best in class solar cells, fuel cells, and a
state-of-the-art energy storage and power distribution
system. The system contains fully compatible AC/DC connectors
and grid interconnects, is whisper quiet and produces no heat
signature. The system can be transported by commercial
vehicles and is designed to replace diesel fuel generators for
continuous operations. The FBI will utilize the system to power
communications equipment in remote locations.
Nick Foundos, Electrical Engineer and Program Manager of
the FBI's Audio Technology Deployment Unit Power Sources Program,
said that, "We are procuring the Arista Power MRPS as we feel it
will meet the needs of our application by combining wind, solar,
fuel cells and energy storage into a reliable renewable power
station. We are extremely impressed with the engineering
capabilities of the Arista Power team and look forward to fielding
the MRPS."
"There is no other system like ours," said William Schmitz, Chief Executive Officer of
Arista Power, Inc. "We see our system as a cost-effective
alternative to using diesel generators in the field. Our system is
versatile, scalable, reduces the number of site visits for
refueling, and can be custom-designed to incorporate a variety of
technologies to service virtually any power requirement.
Remote monitoring is a rapidly growing application.
We are seeing increasing interest in our Mobile Renewable
Power Station, both in the commercial market and from a number of
government agencies, including the U.S. Army, and we expect
additional orders going forward."

turbines and custom-designed renewable energy storage and power
management systems and a supplier of solar energy systems.
Arista Power's diffuser-augmented WindTamer wind turbine
utilizes a patented technology for the production of electrical
power. Arista Power's patent-pending Power on Demand system
utilizes inputs from multiple energy sources including wind, solar,
fuel cells and the grid in conjunction with a custom-designed
battery storage system and a proprietary smart monitoring
technology that releases energy at optimal times to reduce peak
power demand, thereby lowering electricity costs for large energy
users who deal with peak usage pricing. Arista Power also
sells a mobile renewable energy system that that generates wind and
solar energy to an onboard storage unit for military and other
applications, and a renewable power station that is a scalable
