Universal Detection Technology
(www.udetection.com) (OTCBB: UNDT), a developer of early-warning
monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and
other infectious health threats, announced today that it has
entered into a government marketing alliance with Winvale. Through
the alliance, UNDT plans to market its catalog of CBRN detection
equipment to all sectors of the government. The alliance will be
for both GSA Schedule Contracting and Intensive targeted marketing
towards relevant agencies.
UNDT's products are listed on GSA Schedule GS-07F-0106V for
equipment used in the detection of biological weapons such as
anthrax, ricin, botulinum, and plague as well as Radiation
Detection Equipment. However, in the coming months, UNDT plans to
add more products to the schedule, used to battle new bioterror
threats, as well as other forms of health hazards.
Winvale brings a perspective to GSA Schedule Contracting and
marketing that no other consultancy in the marketplace can provide
-- that is, practical, real-world guidance and support. Winvale's
participative approach ensures that its partners achieve a GSA
Schedule contract with contract terms and requirements that are
transparent to maintain pricing and margins with flexibility, and a
government sales effort that is sustainable and exceed
expectations. UNDT and Winvale have partnered and UNDT was
subsequently awarded a GSA contract to provide radiation detection
devices to the U.S. Air Force through its listing with Winvale.
Some other Security firms working with Winvale include, Northrop
Grumman, ICX, and Rapiscan.
To be an approved supplier under a GSA schedule, a vendor must
go through an arduous application process. Negotiating fair and
reasonable prices for the products or services to be delivered is
the most important aspect of application process. The GSA schedule
is one of the most simplified and widely accepted government
contract vehicles available to procurement officers. The GSA
schedule is a five-year contract listing the prices the federal
government has agreed to pay for a vendor's commercial products and
services. The contract may be renewed for three five-year periods
resulting in a 20-year contract if all renewals are executed.
"There has been a profound increase in the discussion of the
Bioterror threat from biological weapons such as the recent report
of unsecured biolabs in Uganda that store some of the most lethal
pathogens, including Anthrax," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of
Universal Detection Technology. "Through our alliance with Winvale
we plan to market our equipment to the government and to facilitate
the process of purchasing our equipment by their Government
agencies," continued Tizabi.
