OTTAWA, ON, June 19, 2024 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will take part in an art activity with schoolchildren to launch the Honouring Memories, Planting Dreams heart garden at Rideau Hall.

The heart garden honours First Nations, Inuit and Métis children affected by residential schools, both those who survived and those who never came home. Each heart represents our shared responsibility to remember their stories and commit to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action.
