June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Connie O'Brien has been elected
Senior Vice President of Internet Strategy & Development for
AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, the primary U.S. life
insurance and savings subsidiary of the global AXA Group. Ms.
O'Brien is responsible for overall corporate web strategy. She
reports to Barbara Goodstein, Chief Innovation Officer and Chief
Marketing Officer of AXA Equitable. Ms. O'Brien joined AXA
Equitable in April 2007 as Vice President and head of the company's
newly-created Internet Strategy & Development business team
charged with creating consistent and integrated brand, interface
and platform architecture standards for all AXA-based Internet
sites in the United States. Since joining AXA, she has led a
multi-tiered transformation of AXA Equitable's online experience.
The first step in this transformation was the March 2008 launch of
Performance, a new online analytical and research tool that helps
financial professionals doing business with the company make
faster, informed decisions about their clients' variable life
insurance and variable annuity investment portfolio choices. In
April 2008, Ms. O'Brien followed by leading a major redesign of the

following the merger with Manulife Financial Corporation. Prior to
that, she was Vice President/Group Director for Circle.com (part of
Euro RSCG Circle, owned by Havas), where she was responsible for
strategic services for Verizon. She also spent three years as Vice
President for Modem Media, serving as Managing Director of the
Toronto office and directing strategic services for clients The
Hartford, Kodak and Kraft. Ms. O'Brien earned a B.A. in English
