                         Placing and Additional Listing


The Wigmore Group plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce a placing to raise
#210,000, before expenses. The Company has issued 10,500,000 new ordinary shares
of 1p each ("Placing Shares") to private and institutional investors at a price
of 2p each to provide additional working capital for the Company. The Placing
Shares represent 11.14 per cent of the enlarged issued ordinary share capital of
the Company and will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares in issue.


The Company has today made application for the Placing Shares to be admitted to
trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange plc
and dealings are expected to commence on Tuesday 11 February 2003.
