Steel’s continued commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive working environment for veterans. U. S. Becoming an official Beyond the Yellow Ribbon certified business sends a message to current and prospective employees, and the community, that U. S. Steel has the support structure to enable successful transitions into the workplace for service members and those employees affected by military service. In 2023, 12 percent of new hires at U. S. Steel were veterans.
