The Malaysia Fund, Inc. (NYSE: MAY) (the �Fund�) today announced
that, effective immediately, the members of the Emerging Markets
Equity team primarily responsible for the day-to-day operation of
the Fund are Munib Madni, an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley
Investment Management Inc. (�MSIM�), Ruchir Sharma, a Managing
Director of MSIM, and James Cheng, a Managing Director of Morgan
Stanley Investment Management Company. The Fund is a
non-diversified, closed-end management investment company, the
shares of which are listed on the NYSE (MAY). The Fund�s investment
objective is long-term capital appreciation which it seeks to
achieve by investing primarily in equity securities of Malaysian
issuers, and by investing, from time to time, in debt securities
