Leadership Detroit is a community leadership program founded in 1979 and sponsored by the Detroit Regional Chamber. The�Leadership Detroit experience is a valuable and powerful program,�helping to develop the leadership skills and knowledge�of regional issues�of senior level executives in�Southeast Michigan. The mission of Leadership Detroit is to provide the foundation for a lifelong commitment to leadership by creating awareness of key issues that affect the Detroit region and to challenge emerging and existing community leaders to bring about positive change in the community through informed leadership. Labe has over 15 years of senior management experience. He is considered a World Class expert and knowledge leader in process improvement. His most recent experience with Thomas Group includes overseeing business development and delivery of large implementation programs, including the creation and institutionalization of complete Value Chain Solutions for clients. Prior to joining Thomas Group, Labe served as Chief Executive Officer of a high-tech company that created a link between patients, providers, and healthcare institutions using wireless technology. Prior experience included serving as General Manager for Bell Industries, where his division consistently led the company in income growth, sales growth, and return on investment. Labe is a frequent public speaker on the topic of process improvement and making companies flexible and value driven. Labe is also a member of many organizations and boards including American Diabetes Association (Michigan Leadership Council), Automotive Industry Action Group (Health Focus Committee) and Michigan State Medical Society (Administration Simplification Committee).
