Ken Beatty Construction and other Manitoba companies will sell 100s of items in
June 1 auction
BRANDON, MB, May 25, 2017 /CNW/ - Every year Ritchie Bros. helps thousands of Canadian
companies buy and sell equipment. On June
1, Ritchie Bros. will make
its way to Brandon to sell items
for 50-year-old company Ken Beatty Construction, along with dozens
of other Manitoba companies.
"Like so many great Canadian companies, Ken Beatty Construction
was started by one man with one machine," said Jason Huber, Regional Sales Manager,
Ritchie Bros. "Ken started his
company in 1967 with a single backhoe and just kept building,
taking on any project he could—cottage lot preparation, road work,
gravel and crushing, sewer and water, and complete landscaping—all
the while he was farming too. Unfortunately, three years ago Ken
passed away, leaving his wife and two sons to make the tough
decision to sell the company's fleet."
More than 160 equipment items and trucks will be sold in the
unreserved public auction for Ken Beatty Construction, including
excavators, wheel loaders, crawler tractors, motor graders,
crushers, truck tractors, trailers, pickup trucks and more. The
auction also features 300+ items for 30+ other consignors—visit
rbauction.com for the complete list of equipment.
"This company was my dad's entire life," said Ken's son and
company general manager Maurice
Beatty. "He put everything into his work and took great
pride in his equipment. It was a hard decision to sell, but we will
be glad to see all this equipment being put to work by another
company."
The auction is open to the public. All items will be sold
without minimum bids or reserve prices.
