UMB Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:UMBF) is pleased to announce that Gregory Jerzyk has joined the company as executive vice president, director of portfolio management for UMB Investment Advisors. As the leader of portfolio management, Jerzyk is responsible for the management and development of portfolio managers in Kansas City, St. Louis and Denver. He will report to William Greiner, chief investment officer of UMB. Jerzyk comes to UMB with 26 years of portfolio management experience and most recently was first vice president and senior portfolio manager at La Salle Bank in Chicago. There he managed equity and open architecture portfolios for individuals and institutions. �Greg has extensive portfolio management and leadership experience that will help advance and strengthen our service,� said Greiner. �His reputation and extensive knowledge will be a tremendous asset to our customers and company.� Jerzyk will work from UMB headquarters in downtown Kansas City beginning April 9, 2007. Jerzyk is actively involved in prairie restoration and is a volunteer for PADS, a service organization helping the homeless. Jerzyk holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and business from Cornell College, and earned his Masters in Management from Northwestern University.
