SBE Inc. (NASDAQ:SBEI), a provider of IP-based storage software
solutions for next-generation storage systems, and emBoot Inc., a
pioneer in delivering network boot capabilities, today announced
that SBEs IP SAN Director Suite has been added to emBoots list of
supported iSCSI targets for winBoot/i. Using winBoot/i, SBE
customers can now boot any Microsoft Windows 2003 server from iSCSI
storage to simplify server management, reduce costs, and deploy
more robust disaster recovery solutions. IP SAN Director Suite
users can utilize winBoot/i to boot physical or virtual servers
running Microsoft Windows 2003 to accelerate initial deployments
and server upgrades, significantly lower total operating costs,
reduce risk, and improve their ability to recover from business
threatening disasters. winBoot/i enables iSCSI boot using standard
network interface cards instead of more costly specialized HBAs.
We are very pleased to be partnering with emBoot to bring the many
benefits of iSCSI boot to our customers by certifying the IP SAN
Director Suite with winBoot/i, said Greg Yamamoto, CEO of SBE,
Inc. Our customers can now realize even more business value from
their investment in our iSCSI storage solution. "Every business
large or small can generate significant measurable benefits from
their implementation of an iSCSI SAN in combination with iSCSI boot
using winBoot/i, said George Kostiuk, CEO of emBoot Inc. Without
requiring an investment in specialized network cards, SBE customers
can now centrally manage their Windows 2003 boot images to improve
their bottom lines and improve the survivability of the business if
disaster strikes. SBE will be demonstrating its IP SAN Director
Suite at Storage Networking World Fall 2006 (Booth #C30). emBoot
will also be participating in this event demonstrating the benefits
of iSCSI boot using netBoot/i and winBoot/i in Booth #PP21. About
