American Electric Power Raises Quarterly Dividend by 4.5%

American Electric Power Co. (AEP) on Tuesday said its board
raised the quarterly dividend by 4.5%, to 70 cents, from 67
cents.
The new payout, equal to $2.80 a year, represents an annual
yield of about 2.96% based on Monday's closing price of $94.48, up
from about 2.84%.
The Columbus, Ohio, utility holding company said the increased
dividend is payable Dec. 10 to shareholders of record Nov. 8.
