Fogo de Chão (NASDAQ:FOGO), the internationally-renowned Southern
Brazilian steakhouse, opened its first location in Northern
Virginia on Monday, at 1775 Tysons Boulevard. The new
restaurant marks Fogo de Chão’s second location in metropolitan
D.C. and its 34th location in the United States. There are
currently 46 Fogo de Chão restaurants, worldwide.
Fogo de Chão is pleased to bring its second
authentic Southern Brazilian dining experience to the greater
Washington D.C. area, providing loyal guests with a new, convenient
location to enjoy its unique brand of high-end hospitality and
exceptional value. The new restaurant, located in Fairfax
County’s most prestigious business district, features an open
kitchen showcasing the centuries-old gaucho tradition of churrasco
– grilling meats over an open fire – and an expansive outdoor
patio.
“We’re thrilled to deepen our relationship with
residents and visitors in the D.C. area, and to continue sharing
our Southern Brazilian hospitality, cuisine and values with the
world,” said Larry Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Fogo de
Chão. “Tysons is a vibrant and exciting location and we are
proud to be a part of this dynamic community.”
The newest Fogo de Chão menu features the
restaurant’s signature savory, fire-roasted meats that are
seasoned, prepared and carved tableside by a team of authentic,
Brazilian-trained gaucho chefs. The wealth of meat choices includes
favorites like the house specialty Picanha sirloin, filet mignon,
lamb chops and ribeye. As a complement to the variety of protein
options, guests can also enjoy the gourmet Market Table and
Feijoada Bar, which includes seasonal salads, soups, fresh
vegetables, Feijoada (Brazilian black bean stew), and authentic
Brazilian side dishes. To celebrate the new location, an
introductory price of $48.95 is being offered for dinner.
The Tysons Fogo de Chão location also offers a
variety of other dining options and experiences including Gaucho
Lunch, which allows busy weekday diners and business professionals
to customize their experience starting at $15. Additionally, the
new Weekend Brazilian Brunch gives guests the opportunity to enjoy
the full churrasco experience along with special Brazilian-inspired
brunch items during the day on Saturdays and Sundays. To
complement the experience, Fogo de Chão offers a special Brunch Bar
in the main dining room where guests can enjoy made-to-order
Caipirinhas and classic American brunch cocktails with Brazilian
twists such as their cachaça Bloody Mary and Passion Fruit
Mimosa.
Other highlights of the new Tysons location are its
Bar Fogo area including two expansive patios. The menu at Bar
Fogo includes shareable small plates and new menu additions like a
picanha burger, Brazilian empanadas and a variety of craft
cocktails. The restaurant also has several private and semi-private
dining areas which are perfect for hosting special occasion
celebrations, corporate meetings or other group events.
Every Fogo de Chão restaurant boasts an
award-winning wine list and extensive drink menu, featuring
Brazil’s national drink, the Caipirinha, handcrafted with cachaça
(Brazilian liquor made from sugarcane), fresh lime, and sugar. Fogo
de Chão offers a tempting dessert menu, including its signature
Papaya Cream – made with fresh papaya and vanilla ice cream, then
finished with Crème de Cassis tableside. A dining experience for
all ages, children six-and-under enjoy complimentary dining, and
ages seven-to-12 dine at half price for the full churrasco
experience.
