Marty Scherzer Joins Everest Re Group to Head its Structured Solutions Unit

Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE:RE) announced today that Marty
Scherzer has joined the Group as Head of its Structured Solutions
Unit, based in the New York office. He will be responsible for the
structured solution capabilities across the Everest Group.
Marty joins Everest with more than 30 years of industry
experience, most recently as President of AIG’s Alternative Risk
Solutions unit. At AIG, he spent more than 14 years in a variety of
non-traditional areas, including senior management positions in
Risk Finance, Global Risk Solutions, Multinational, and Alternative
Risk Solutions. Prior to joining AIG, Marty worked at Marsh &
McLennan Companies where he was Managing Director and Head of
Origination and Structuring in the Enterprise Risk division. He
began his career at Johnson & Higgins as a risk management
consultant and alternative risk broker.
