Abengoa Appoints Co-CFO Responsible for Investor Relations & Capital Markets

- Ignacio Garcia Alvear, current CFO of Abengoa Bioenergy is
appointed as Co-CFO for Investor Relations & Capital Markets,
effective February 1st, 2015.
- Barbara Zubiria, existing EVP, Investor Relations & Capital
Markets, will be taking on a new professional opportunity outside
of Abengoa.
Abengoa (MCE:ABG.B/P SM) (Nasdaq:ABGB), the international company
that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in
the energy and environment sectors has announced the appointment of
Co-CFO responsible for Investor Relations & Capital Markets,
effective February 1st, 2015. Ignacio Garcia Alvear, current CFO of
Abengoa Bioenergy, will replace Barbara Zubiria, who has decided to
take on a new professional opportunity as CFO of a company in an
unrelated sector.
Mr. Garcia Alvear joined Abengoa in 1995 and has been in his
current position since January 2004. Prior to this, he has been
Director of Corporate Finance of Abengoa, Financial Director for
Telvent, and CFO for Abengoa Mexico. Mr. Garcia Alvear has been
based in St. Louis, MO, for the last 11 years and will be
relocating to Washington, DC.
Mr. Garcia Alvear is a graduate of ETEA University in Cordoba,
Spain with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Management in 1995,
he later completed an Executive Management Program from Ipade
Business School at México in June 1999.
