Sunergy, Inc. ("Sunergy" or "the Company") (OTC Pink: SNEY)
(PINKSHEETS: SNEY) understands the Ebola Virus is a serious medical
and safety issue in Sierra Leone and Liberia, but is pleased to
report that our operations have remained uninterrupted and company
personnel are kept regularly informed regarding the severity of
this virus and the necessity to take all precautions and efforts of
cleanliness in efforts to remain safe.
We also confirm that seasonal repairs on our dredging equipment
in Sierra Leone are complete on Dredge #1 which last week started
in the Woa River, outside Kenema in an area between two large scale
productive diamond operations. A second dredge is slated to start
another new operation and will be being used as a wash plant;
washing gravels already uncovered near Kono.
Garrett Hale, President and CEO says, "After a brief
rehabilitation of our operating equipment in Sierra Leone, we have
commenced the rainy season activities as planned. The Ebola
outbreak is very serious in both Sierra Leone and Liberia, however,
we have the good fortune to be operating in locations that are so
far unaffected by this virus. We are in constant communications
with our personnel about proper safety precautions and they have
chosen to work during this time."
Liberia operations continue on land based areas and pits,
adjacent to the Lofa river site, as the Company is defining the
parameters of the diamonds found earlier last month. These pits are
sizeable and will allow Sunergy crews to dredge alongside the river
to uncover gold and diamonds that could have been deposited in the
ancient river beds before the river changed natural course.Sunergy
has continued operations, kept equipment protected and in place for
the non-rainy season, and also completing the proper due diligence
to see how far the diamondiferous soils extend.
Mr. Hale continued, "We have planned well, with the leadership
and guidance of David price and his chosen personnel, to have the
opportunity to work with our equipment and local communities during
the rains. Our new projects in the Kenema and Kono areas are
substantial, and, for the first time in our operating history we
will be ready and in place for the entire upcoming dry season. We
will have additional updates as soon as information is available.
Security warrants that we continue to be non-descriptive of
specific locations at this time."
Hale further comments, "We wish to acknowledge our brave and
determined local mine workers and especially honor the unwavering
commitment of David Price, Dredgemaster, who leads our mining
operations in both countries during these trying times. His
diligent efforts and experience are the reason we are still able to
operate at this difficult time."
Management continues work on our Mining, Affordable Housing and
Airport Security projects in these West African Countries. We have
permanent people on the ground in each country to assist during the
Ebola outbreak, who are all safety trained.Solar Power Projects are
also now being reviewed in Liberia, The Gambia and Senegal while
feasibility information for solar in Sierra Leone and Liberia is
being studied. More news will be forthcoming shortly on these
projects.
Further updates on our operations and non-core business
activities will be forthcoming.
