September 20 2012 - 7:30AM
Business Wire
WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE:WMS),
under license with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will introduce
an all-new slot entertainment experience with the premiere of the
WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY game at the 12th annual
Global Gaming Expo (G2E), October 2-4 at the Sands Expo and
Convention Center in Las Vegas. The entertaining WILLY WONKA &
THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY game, based upon the original musical motion
picture featuring Gene Wilder and Jack Albertson, will be offered
on the Company’s Sensory Immersion 2.0 premium participation
platform. Leveraging the advanced graphics and sound powered by
WMS’ next-generation CPU-NXT3 operating platform and the innovative
motion system technology pioneered by D-BOX Technologies (TSX:DBO),
the Sensory Immersion 2.0 platform from WMS enables casino
operators to deliver a gaming experience to their players that
offers enhanced graphics, superior play mechanics and advanced
touch screen functionality, all integrated into game play that is
synchronized with movement of the motion chair.
The WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY game offers numerous
exciting bonus rounds drawn straight from the 1971 musical motion
picture classic and features music from the Academy
Award®-nominated original score. One of the sweet features sure to
be enjoyed by all those players who love fun bonus games and
exciting new slot entertainment experiences in an
“anti-institutionary, pro-confectionery factory of fun,” is the
appearance of the popular OOMPA LOOMPA™ characters that adds WILD
symbols to the reels while expanding the reels into the top screen
for the opportunity for additional wins. A ride on the CHOCOLATE
RIVER BOAT™ is brought to life in a bonus round through the motion
chair technology and the “Scrumdidilyumptious” joy of finding a
golden ticket hidden in a WONKA BAR™ that awards a $5,000 jackpot –
with the odds of finding it increasing each time the bonus round
jackpot is not won. Even the game’s WONKAVATOR™ feature, the free
spin trigger used to determine which bonus round will be awarded,
is motion enabled on WMS’ Sensory Immersion 2.0 platform.
Larry Pacey, Executive Vice President, Global Products and Chief
Innovation Officer of WMS, said, “Creating differentiated gaming
experiences that have broad player appeal by combining imaginative
content with technology innovations is the hallmark of WMS. The new
WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Sensory Immersion game
enables players to enter the world of wonder and awe brought to
life over 40 years ago in the timeless feature film. The
entertainment experience unleashed by the Sensory Immersion 2.0
technology deepens the connection players have with the game by
creating a fully immersive experience through advanced graphics,
superior audio and synchronized motion and lighting brought to life
by the capabilities of the CPU-NXT3 operating platform. Our latest
Sensory Immersion platform is quickly becoming a player-proven
performer following the success of the Aladdin & The Magic
Quest® themed game on casino floors today. We are very excited to
combine this powerful technology platform with the much-loved world
of WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY in a game that we
believe will generate excitement for players.”
Rusty Goffe, one of the legendary OOMPA LOOMPA characters from
the motion picture, commented on seeing the world of pure
imagination brought to life on the gaming floor, “Nearly every day
fans of the motion picture tell me how wonderful it is to
experience the Chocolate Factory’s wonder, excitement, thrills and
sense of danger through the perspective of Charlie’s eyes; and this
all-new gaming experience from WMS does a terrific job of
re-creating that entertaining adventure through the chocolate
universe for slot players. I am so excited to see the content that
has brought joy for so many years to so many people extended in
such an innovative new game.”

existing product placements or future placements; (3) an inability
to introduce in a timely manner new games and gaming machines that
achieve and maintain market acceptance; (4) a decrease in the
desire of casino customers to upgrade gaming machines or allot

inability of suppliers of key components to timely meet our pricing
or promotional competitive activity that adversely affects our
average selling price or product revenues; (13) a failure to obtain
and maintain our gaming licenses and regulatory approvals; (14)
failure of customers or players to adapt to the new technologies
that we introduce in new product concepts; (15) a software anomaly
or fraudulent manipulation of our gaming machines and software;
(16) a failure to obtain the right to use or an inability to adapt
to rapid development of new technologies; (17) an infringement
claim seeking to restrict our use of material technologies; (18)
risks of doing business in international markets, including
political and economic instability, terrorist activity, changes in
importation and repatriation regulations such as currently
experienced in Argentina, and foreign currency fluctuations; and
(19) the unfavorable outcome of any legal proceedings in which we
may be requirements to fulfill customer orders; (12) increased
involved from time to time. These factors and other factors that
could cause actual results to differ from expectations are more
fully described under “Item 1. Business”, “Item 1A. Risk Factors”

year ended June 30, 2012, and our more recent reports filed with
