The Board of Henderson Private Equity Investment Trust plc hereby announces 
that, further to the announcement of 17 December 2009, a circular convening an 
extraordinary general meeting has been posted to shareholders pursuant to a 
requisition for a general meeting received from Advance UK Trust plc. 
 
A copy of the circular has been submitted to the UK Listing Authority and will 
shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document 
Viewing Facility, which is situated at The Financial Services Authority, 25 The
