Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and
information technology company, has received a $23.5 million order from the U.S. Department of
Defense for JTRS-approved Falcon III® AN/PRC-152(C ) multiband
handheld radio systems and accessories. The order was awarded
by the Joint Program Executive Office of the Joint Tactical Radio
System (JTRS) on behalf of the U.S. Air Force.
The AN/PRC-152(C ) is an integrated multiband, multimission
handheld radio that provides warfighters with advanced capabilities
for portable line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight tactical
communications. The radio also serves as the dismountable
transceiver in the AN/VRC-110 vehicular amplifier adapter system.
The combat-proven AN/PRC-152(C ) is the most widely-fielded
JTRS-approved handheld radio with more than 100,000 units
deployed.
