DALLAS, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Belo Corp. (NYSE: BLC),
one of the nation's largest pure-play, publicly-traded television
companies, announced today that Angela
Betasso has been named the Company's vice president/Sales.
Working closely with local station management, Betasso will
be responsible for Belo's collective revenue efforts across its 20
U. S. television stations. She will begin her new role on
October 18.
A nine-year Belo veteran, Betasso previously served as vice
president/Sales for WFAA-TV, Belo's ABC station in Dallas/Fort Worth. In this position, she
generated significant revenue and share growth across all of WFAA's
platforms including television, Web, mobile and digital.
Betasso's sales experience spans two decades and several cities
including running national representation offices, guiding local
sales teams and launching business development initiatives.
She previously served two years with Viacom as a local sales
manager in Dallas. Prior to
that, she served as vice president/General Manager with Seltel, a
media representation firm later acquired by Katz
Communications.
